Overview of Membership
BPESA is the recognised national Trade Body and Industry Association for the Global Business Services (GBS) and BPO Sector in South Africa. As a not-for-profit entity, BPESA was established to promote trade and serve the interests of its many stakeholder groups engaged in the development, growth and sustainability of this vibrant sector that cuts across many industry verticals of the economy.
BPESA’s services are targeted at international and domestic captive and outsourcing (BPO) operators; the broader eco-system of vendors and not-for-profit entities supplying enabling capabilities, products and services to the sector; as well as international BPO's, investors, buyers and clients whose customers are serviced from South Africa.
With GBS recognised as a priority sector in the country, BPESA supports the sector and delivers its services in partnership with Government, at all levels, and various not-for-profit organisations including social enterprises and the professional bodies supporting the broad spread of the GBS sector including; Contact Centre and CX services, Professional and Shared Service offerings (finance and accounting services, legal services, HR services, knowledge services etc.), Digital and ITO services.

BPESA is dedicated to empowering its members and advancing the industry via a dynamic team and resources, all focused on meeting the mandates set by members and aligned with the GBS Sector Masterplan.
This collaborative roadmap, co-created with both private sector and government stakeholders, aims to foster sustainable growth and development, with the ambitious goal of creating 500,000 jobs by 2030.
