NEW BPESA NATIONAL ORGANISATION
- August 11, 2017
The Board of Directors at BPESA National has resolved to: review the BPESA value proposition and positioning; review and refine the membership model; and redefine its operating model and structure to enable it to better serve its growing group of stakeholders and respond to changes in market conditions and needs.
To plan and manage these changes, the BPESA National Board has appointed a Transition Committee with representation from BPESA Western Cape, BPESA Gauteng and BPESA KZN, international and domestic operators, the CCMG, the dti and strategic partners. The goal of the Committee is to complete the transition by the end of this year and to have appointed a new Board of Directors and CEO by the end of February 2018.
In the interim, the regions will continue to engage with their stakeholders and to fulfil their day-to-day functions as directed by their respective Boards of Directors. A National Programme Management Office (PMO), which is being initiated and supported by Yellowwoods and Harambee, who are also making a funding contribution, has already been established to encourage and coordinate the participation of all industry role players in strategic initiatives that stimulate demand, address critical supply side issues, and mobilise the industry around matters of collective interest and concern. The PMO is currently engaging with all three regions, providing support with the implementation of current projects and industry initiatives.
The Transition Committee will communicate progress with you during this period and will start engaging you around the new member value proposition as soon as it has been finalised. We are confident that the new vision and strategy for BPESA National and the refreshed member value proposition will go a long way to addressing the needs, issues and concerns expressed about BPESA National by so many over the past year. We hope that you will respond with full support for the new Industry Body as we collectively strive to set the gold standard for industry mobilisation and successful contribution to domestic and international BPS market in South Africa.
Yours sincerely,
Fagri Semaar
Chairman and interim CEO BPESA National
