BPESA ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC ALLIANCE WITH IAOP

Partnership will Promote Impact Sourcing as a Business Practice in the GBS Industry

Johannesburg, South Africa, April 17, 2019 – BPESA today announced a strategic alliance with IAOP. Both organisations have a strong focus on impact sourcing as a strategy and business practice that leverages the demand in the global business services sector to create jobs for youth in excluded communities.

BPESA is a founding member of the global Impact Sourcing Coalition and through its partnership with Harambee and the dti was recognized by the IAOP as influencing Global Business Service solutions for excluded youth at scale.

“BPESA sees great opportunity in this strategic alliance with IAOP to further develop the sector in South Africa. Collaborating with the IAOP will extend BPESA’s global network to reach like minded professionals and organisations that strive for sustainble business growth while embracing their social responsibity to give highly talented, yet disadvantaged, people access to good quality work from delivery centres in South Africa. BPESA also looks forward to the opportunity to learn from and share knowledge with IAOP members across many different regions, events and engagements in this ever changing world”, says BPESA CEO, Andy Searle.

“Employment for high potential but disadvantaged people in the BPO sector is the main objective but getting businesses to understand that this innovative model can help them meet and exceed their cost and quality objectives, is where IAOP can help,”. said IAOP CEO Debi Hamill. “Impact sourcing is no longer about finding a cause to support; it’s a smart and important way to conduct business.”

The missions of BPESA and IAOP are complementary and intersecting with respect to providing thought leadership and networking opportunities for those organizations within the GBS space. Exchanging relevant information and supporting key initiatives between the organizations will advance each other’s causes and the entire ecosystem will benefit.
