We have been participating in the South Africa in the Digital Age Initiative, together with the Department of Trade and Industry and Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator, for the past number of months.

Led by Genesis Analytics, this initiative was part of the work commissioned by the Pathways for Prosperity Commission.

The work has been concluded and the outputs of that work have been published to the global audience.

The Digital Roadmap and the Digital Manifesto

The Digital Roadmap is the culmination of two years of research and engagement, looking at how lower-income countries can harness new technologies to deliver development for all citizens, not just the privileged few.

With this report, we move beyond the principles of our previous publications, to recommend concrete actions by policymakers, philanthropists, entrepreneurs, citizens and advocates. The Digital Roadmap is released alongside The Digital Manifesto, a practical checklist aimed at putting countries in the driving seat to determine their own digital trajectories.
